Happy June Everyone!!
As always, May went by soooo fast: between my mom’s birthday, Mother’s Day and the boy’s birthday at the end of the month, just crazy!! Side note, I have two FIVE year olds, I can NOT believe it! I feel like five is a whole new stage in life, they are not as dependent, they even seem more mature, sounds strange, but it definitely feels like that! I was talking to some friends recently and I remember saying five would be my cut off, if I don’t have a ring by then – I won’t be having any more children, why would I want to START ALL OVER?? I digress, I could probably do an entire post about that alone, but today I am not here to talk about ME, I’d like to highlight another Super Twin Mom of the Month: Shannon Morrison!
Shannon and I have known each other since childhood; she is a beautiful person from the inside and out! I remember Shannon finding out she was pregnant with twins and I could NOT believe it – prior to myself, I really thought twins were rare! That is no longer the case, there are so many AMAZING twin moms out there and I have absolutely LOVED getting their insight and opinions on mothering multiples.
I had an opportunity to connect with Shannon and I absolutely wanted to share her insight with each of you!
Tell me about yourself and your family…
My name is Shannon Morrison and I am the mother of two amazing and mischievous little boys named Browdis and Logan Morrison. I am happily married to my incredible husband Browdis Morrison and a full time Federal employee where I am responsible for program management, mission results and workforce planning. I am also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
When you’re not on full Mommy duty, what do you like to do?
I’m ALWAYS on mommy duty! Lol. But when I am child-free, I love to travel, shop, experience new restaurants, attend various events and catch up with family and friends.
What is the best thing about being a TWIN Mommy?
The BEST thing about being a twin mommy is the chaos! I love that it’s never a dull moment with my favorite guys. They give me extra energy that I never knew I had.
What is the hardest thing about being a twin mom?
The HARDEST thing about being a twin mommy is not having two extra arms so I can pick them both up at the same time.
What was your reaction when you found out you were having twins?
My reaction when I found out I was having twins was pure shock and fear. I was engaged and in the process of planning my wedding… and now I have to plan for two babies! However, my husband was superman and made sure everything was ready for their arrival. Did I mention he’s the best? Lol
Please give any advice that you’d like to share with twin (or any) moms out there.
Take it one day at a time and trust your instincts. Also, give them infinite kisses and tell them you love them every day (even if they wipe off your kisses *smh*)

I truly enjoy the opportunity to speak with other TWIN moms to know that I am not alone in this, and I hope you enjoy hearing from them as well! If you know of a Super Twin Mom that should be featured as Super Twin Mom of the Month, please like, comment and share so we can feature all of these awesome mommas!
XOXO,
Cari
